Meanwhile the fundraising for Freddie and Louie Dawkins, of Annesley Road, Hucknall, continues to attract support from far and wide.

The two boys, who have the neurodegenerative Batten Disease, and their parents Andrew and Sarah, went along to meet the family of Craig Dowhan who organised a football tournament in their son’s memory for the campaign.

It was a very well attended event with friends and family of Craig taking part and supporting the day raising £1,352.66.

“We’re very humbled and touched that Chris and his family chose our campaign to benefit from their special day for Craig,” said Sarah. “We want to thank them for supporting our family at what is a very difficult time for their family.”
