Seven of our Year 12 students were able to spend an awareness day as guests of Peterhouse College, Cambridge, on Wednesday 12th March.

Students from other Nottinghamshire schools were also there, as we found out about life as an undergraduate at Cambridge University.

After a guided tour of engineering facilities and seeing students at work on assignments we were treated to lunch in the historic dining room of the college.

The afternoon had four lectures to choose from, each delivered by a Doctor or Professor of the faculty.

We could attend any two and we all agreed of the ones we listened to, that they were inspiring and passionately delivered.History, Science, Medicine and Linguistics were on offer.

The final part of the day was on how to make a great application and time for questions and answers with Cambridge students in their second year.

It was an amazing day, insightful and inspirational, offering a unique taste of life in a top university.
