Hucknall charity day in memory of crash victims

A charity day is being held in Hucknall to raise funds for the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Taking place on Saturday 26th July between 10am and 4pm, the day has been organised by Janette Poyser in memory of her son Paul Basford.

Paul Basford (32) and his partner, Tina Artingstall (37), who lived together in Bulwell, were both killed in a motorbike crash near Barton-in-Fabis, Nottinghamshire, in September 2001.

Since 2003, Paul’s family have held a fund-raising event in the back garden of their home at 362 Watnall Road, with proceeds for the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

The garden party has become a well-supported attraction.

Attractions at this year’s garden party will include a a barbecue, a tombola, a raffle plus new and bric-a-brac stalls. Tea, coffee and cakes will be provided and everyone is welcome.
