Having your head shaved for charity is not something to do lightly but brave Jessica Yendell decided to get the chop anyway.

The Hucknall care worker had her locks lopped by hairdresser and stepmum, Clair Terry of Avanti Hair, Watnall Road, during a fun day.

The event was held last weekend at the Nabb Inn which included family-fun events like a bouncy castle, face painting, tombola and cake stalls to boost funds further for the Little Princess Trust.

“We managed to raise £470 which was wonderful,” said Clair. “I want to thank all the town centre businesses who supported the event by donating raffle prizes and everybody who came along on the day.”

Not only will the cash support the charity but Jessica’s hair will be donated too.

“The charity provide real-hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment,” explained Clair.
