A former radio presenter has today admitted murdering his partner at their Hucknall home.
Geoffrey Hemming, aged 52, of Hazelwood Drive, pleaded guilty at Nottingham Crown Court to stabbing Denise Williamson to death on 5th July this year.
Hemming, who worked as a freelance presenter on Sheffield-based Magic AM until May, will now face sentencing at the same court on 27th January.
He also worked as a driving instructor, giving lessons to a daughter of a resident on neighbouring road, Bolingey Way.
The incident took place at around 8.15pm on the evening in question when Miss Williamson was taken to hospital with serious stab wounds but pronounced dead soon after arrival.
Judge Stokes must now determine the minimum prison sentence that must be served before Hemming can apply for parole.
