A young Brownie is celebrating after scooping the top prize in a design competition run to mark the centenary event.
Jess Carter, a Brownie at 2nd Papplewick and Linby, designed the winning badge in a competition open to all Brownies in the Hucknall and Ravenshead district to mark the Big Brownie Birthday.
The photo shows Helen Hutchinson, Newstead assistant division commissioner presenting Jess with her design and the winning badge in a frame.
All the Brownies in Newstead Division have received a badge which shows the centenary of the movement.
“The judges liked her bright, bold and colourful design,” said Sarah Kahler. “The design has the number 100 made into candles and is perfect for everyone to remember a great year in which we celebrate our centenary.”
