A Hucknall based theatre group held a fun day event last Sunday in a bid to raise money to help the group continue to put on productions in the town.

The family fun event, held at the John Godber Centre, included a performance by the Lovelace troupe as well as several stalls and activities including a sponge and stocks set up.

“It was a great day and everyone enjoyed the event,” said president of the group, Linda Mayes. “I’d like to thank The Sweet Café, Dayus, Floral Boutique, Café Niche, The Horse and Groom (Linby),Sandra’s Family Butchers (Nabbs Lane), Alison’s Bakery, Le Belle, “Roamin” Empire Coach Tours and The Crochet Group for giving us raffle prizes. We raised £421.”

The group are preparing for their pantomime which will be held in January 2015 and will be “Aladdin and the Little Mermaid”.
