A Sutton man has been jailed for 12 weeks after admitting breaching a suspended sentence order.

Mansfield magistrates were told how Perry Barnes (21), of Firemans Row, failed to attend any of the probation appointments which were a condition of the order.

Deborah Bell, defending, said Barnes had not slept the night before his first appointment and claimed he had heard nothing more from probation after that.

As Barnes was sentenced a magistrate told him he had already been given a chance.
