A Bulwell store manager is planning on putting his best foot forward to raise funds for a Nottingham charity.

Taj Hussain, manager of the Wilko store, on Main Street, hopes to complete a 24-hour sponsored walk on Tuesday 19th August, for Maggie’s Centres, which provides free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer.

Taj will team up with six other Wilko team members from across the region to complete the gruelling challenge, walking 64 miles non-stop over 24 hours to help raise vital funds for the charity.

The team will start their walk from the site of the proposed new Maggie’s Centre in Manchester, which is located 64 miles from Maggie’s Centre in Nottingham.

He said: “We’re all really excited about Maggie’s challenge and we’ve been training hard.”
