A Mansfield company is bidding to move to a bigger premises that will enable them to remain in the town.
Jeremias Chimney Systems has submitted a planning application for change of use to light industrial and manufacturing on Sovereign Court Crown Farm Industrial Estate.
The bid comes after the flue and chimney manufacturer has outgrown its current premises on the Acorn Business Park off Oaktree Lane.
The new site is a few moments away from its current base and offer 20,368 square feet of working space together with a large secure compound.
If approved, it will bring back into use a unit that has stood vacant for two years.
“The move to new premises will help in the continued growth and expansion of our business here in Mansfield, which has to be good for the local economy and the town generally,” said Carl Bak, commercial director of Jeremias.
“We are an international company with over 600 workers and have six production sites in five different countries and this is an exciting time for us and a reward for the efforts of our Mansfield staff.”
