‘Professional’ thief is jailed

A 24-year-old man has been sent to prison for 36 weeks after going on a shoplifting spree that was centred in Hucknall.

Callum Baxter, of Crabcroft Farm, Awsworth Lane, Kimberley, committed 19 offences inside only three months, Nottingham Magistrates’ Court heard.

District Judge Morris Cooper heard that the “number and nature of the offences shows that the defendant was operating as a professional criiminal.
