Headway Nottingham were delighted to receive a cheque from Ravenshead Flower Club for £1,250 at the latter’s annual meeting at the village hall.
The group has raised the money from a series of events held over the past year and it was presented by chairman Dorothy Hodgkinson.
Michael Tansley-Thomas, services manager of Headway, which supports those with brain injuries and their families, said: “Donations like this are vital to us.
“The demand for our services continues to go up - we had 63 referrals last year and we have 75 this - so we’re hugely grateful to fundraising efforts like this.
“We have two strands to our services - a centre where people can come for sessions and also an outreach programme. This money will help with both.”
