ENTREPRENEURS are being urged to pocket a real asset — after the Spot-On snooker clubs in Hucknall and Bulwell went up for sale.
The venue on Vine Terrace in Hucknall and its counterpart on Bulwell High Road are available freehold at respective guide prices of £400,000 and £300,000. Each boasts hundreds of members.
They are being sold along with the Spot-On clubs at Mansfield and Loughborough because of the retirement of the owner. In total, six Spot-On clubs are on the market through leisure specialist Christie and Co.
No decision will be made on the future of the staff until a deal is brokered.
Ben Freckingham, a director of Christie’s in Nottingham, said: “These clubs are excellently located and trade well. They combine snooker with darts, gaming and other social-club activities.
“Popular with customers, we anticipate they will be equally so with investors looking to capitalise on the popularity of the green-baize game and alternative uses.”
