A Hucknall site manager Robert Taylor is a first-round winner in an annual awards competition that recognises the best practice in the new homes industry.

Robert, of Barratt Homes North Midlands, won the NHBC Pride in the Job award for his work on the Merlin Park site in Papplewick Green, Hucknall.

Pride in the Job is the only nationwide competition dedicated to recognising the best site managers.

Richard Hartshorn, Regional Director for NHBC, the UK’s leading standards setter and warranty provider for new UK homes, said: “Site managers that win an NHBC Pride in the Job Award are creating houses of an exceptionally good standard. The homes Robert has built in Hucknall are without doubt among the best in the UK.”

He added that the winners had excelled in a comprehensive year-long judging process, assessed against stringent criteria defined by NHBC’s technical standards for building new homes.

The winners have now been shortlisted for regional titles which will be revealed in the autumn.

The regional champions will then go forward to contest the national Supreme Winner title in their category at the Pride in the Job Gala Final in London in January.
