Welbeck Community Association held a carol service at the Broomhill Inn, Hucknall, on Christmas Eve led by the Rev David Ford.
The event created a great seasonal atmosphere enjoyed by all, with mince pies for the adults, soft drinks for the children and the arrival of Santa handing out sweets.
“I’d like to wish everyone a happy new year and say a big thank you to everyone who attended and made the informal carol service on Christmas Eve a great success,” said association chairman Dennis Mayoh. “Special thanks go to all those involved in staging the event, including local businesses for their generous support.
“We also wish to remind WCA residents, that there will be an open meeting on Wednesday 15th January 6.30-8.30pm and a residents’ coffee morning on Friday 17th January 9.30-11am.”
Both events will be held at the Children’s Sure Start Centre on Broomhill Road, Hucknall, with all proceeds from the coffee morning going to the Children’s Centre Project Fund.
