A troupe of young dancing stars led by supportive teenager Georgia Wright, have showcased their talents by performing in front of a live audience for the very first time.
Four-year-olds Lily Gammon and Ellie Hardy, five-year-olds Grace Parkinson and Ellena Climpson and nine-year-old Ella Wright were given a deserved ovation following their pleasing routine which was choreographed by Georgia.
The performance by the girls, who are all students of the Hucknall based Marcia Jones School of Dance, took place at Papplewick and Linby Village Hall and was part of a celebration to mark the 40th anniversary of a local Pre-school.
Georgia,15, a pupil at Hucknall National Academy, was instrumental in putting the dance routine together and joined the young performers on stage to give them support and confidence.
“It was nerve-wracking for the little ones but they showed star quality and did everything that was asked of them,” said proud Georgia who is one of Ms Jones younger teaching assistants.
Marcia Jones runs her dance classes on Mondays at Hucknall’s Central Methodist Church.
