Lorry rampage: cops renew plea

THE HUNT continues for the driver of a stolen lorry that ploughed into parked cars on a normally quiet street in Hucknall.

As reported in the Dispatch previously, the vehicle went on the rampage on Polperro Way at 9.50 pm on Wednesday August 24. The articulated truck had been stolen from a depot in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

The vehicle was abandoned on Christchurch Road, Hucknall, outside the Harrier pub

Pallets carrying £20,000 worth of copper were transferred to another lorry travelling behind.

No arrests have yet been made but the police are checking CCTV footage as part of their investigation.

Detectives have renewed an appeal for information and want anyone who witnessed the drama or noticed anything suspicious around the time to ring officers on 0300 3009999.
