Ten children from Crabtree Farm Primary School have done their bit to make Bulwell more beautiful.

They planted a large sackful of tulip and daffodil bulbs in the memory garden of Bulwell Bogs recreation park and completed the job in less than an hour.

The youngsters were helped by two teachers, Jodie Round and Kirsty Walton, and members of the Friends of Bulwell Bogs committee. Craig Mulder, a park ranger with Nottingham City Council, showed the children how to carry out the planting, which took place in bright sunshine.
