A Sutton man has been disqualified from driving for 16 months after admitting being caught over the drink-drive limit without insurance and with a bald tyre.
Prosecutor Robert Carr told Mansfield magistrates how Michael Lubinski (21), of Sylvan Crescent, was approached by police after being seen walking along the M1 on 13th May.
A van which he had borrowed from his brother had run out of fuel and he was en route to a service station for fuel.
When police examined the van they found front nearside tyre had a tread depth of 0.32mm. He also admitted not having insurance,
Lubinski was also fined £110, given a £20 victim surcharge and court costs of £85.
