A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of Bulwell dad Danny Parekh.
Joshua Davey (20), of no fixed address, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court last Friday.
He was detained in Malaga, Spain under a European arrest warrant and extradited to the UK.
His arrest followed liaison between Nottinghamshire police and authorities in Spain.
Mr Parekh (21) died after being stabbed in the leg on a children’s play park off Oakleigh Street, on the Bulwell-Basford border, on Sunday July 8.
Julian Davey (22), of Camomile Close, Bulwell, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court this week, charged with assisting an offender in connection with the inquiry.
Both men are due to appear at Nottingham Crown on Monday October 8 and they have been remanded in custody.
Two other men, aged 23 and 30, and a 15-year-old boy were also arrested in connection with the inquiry and remain on bail.
Mr Parekh was rushed to the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham after he was found on the park.
He was latterly living with his mother on Thorner Close, Highbury Vale Estate. He was the father of a two-year-old boy, Antwon, by his former fiancee, Melissa Freeman (18), of Raithby Close, Bestwood Park Estate.
