A MAN believed to have links to Hucknall has been seriously injured in a fall from a motorway bridge.
A section of the M1 was closed early last Saturday morning after reports that the man had fallen from a bridge over the road.
The police received a call just after midnight about the fall, which happened between junctions 26 at Cinderhill and junction 27 at Annesley on the northbound carriageway of the M1.
The man sustained several injuries and was rushed to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. He was said to be in a serious but stable condition.
It is unclear whether or not the man’s fall was an accident. But nobody else was involved.
Police have not divulged the name, age or address of the man. But his family have been informed.
The motorway was opened again at 1.40 am.
