Man jailed for robbery on train

A 20-YEAR-old who robbed a man of his mobile phone and wallet on a train on Hucknall, Bulwell and Newstead’s Robin Hood Line has been jailed for 17 months.

Joshua Wells, of Northwood, Worksop, admitted robbery. Nottingham Crown Court heard that his 22-year-old victim was travelling alone on the 7.55 pm service on Thursday August 4.

Wells, who was drunk, started chatting to his victim. He then ordered him to hand over his phone before grabbing hold of him, threatening him and pressing his head against the window of the train.
