A man who sustained a near-fatal brain injury is asking Bulwell people to support the charity that helped him rebuild his life.

Chris Crutchlow (40), who was left with a severe brain injury after being knocked off his bike nearly 20 years ago, is looking for volunteer van drivers to help out at a new donation centre recently launched in Bulwell by Headway, the brain injury association.

Members of the public are invited to go along for a free coffee morning and a tour of the charity’s new centre, which will serve as a hub for donated stock and is based at Blenhiem Industrial Estate, in Bulwell, from 10am tomorrow.

Chris said: “I would love to see more people coming down to the centre and help us to provide better services for people affected by brain injury.”

To volunteer, contact Johanna McNeil at the donation centre on 0115 9519286.
