AN INNOVATIVE bus-firm is urging passengers to get on board with a new ticket that also includes all-day travel on Hucknall and Bulwell’s tram network.
Premiere Travel has joined forces with the operators of the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) line to provide a joint travel deal serving the Hucknall area.
Now passengers can buy just one ticket that allows them to use Premiere’s Red 8 service and hop on board any tram at the Moor Bridge stop at Bulwell.
As well as Moor Bridge, Red 8 stops at Beauvale Post Office, Ruffs Drive, Babbacombe Way, Watnall Road and High Street in Hucknall.
It also serves the Sherwood Business Park in Annesley and its route takes in Nottingham City Hospital on Hucknall Road before running into the city.
Premiere’s managing director is Steve Greaves, who was acrimoniously ousted as chairman of Hucknall Town Football Club earlier this year after a takeover.
Mr Greaves said: “We are delighted to be able to work with NET to offer our customers this new ticket. We have had feedback from some passengers in Hucknall telling us that they need to change to the tram for their journey.
“This new ticket-option makes the change so much easier.”
Florian Le Loroux, NET’s marketing manager, explained: “This is a great example of two transport companies working together to encourage more people to leave their cars at home when travelling into the city centre.
“The ticket offers great value-for-money and the convenience of paying once for travelling on both the bus and tram.”
The new ticket offer is available now.
