A DAD-of-three has been appointed the new Deputy Chief Constable of Nottinghamshire police, with responsibilities covering the whole of the Dispatch district.
PAUL SCARROTT has landed the job after a recruitment process that started in February and included a two-day interview programme.
He joined the Nottinghamshire force in May 2010 as Assistant Chief Constable.
His role will include promoting community-safety partnerships and overseeing management of offenders.
Mr Scarrott, who lives in Nottinghamshire, said: “I am over the moon.”
He said being given the role was a “privilege” and added: “I will do everything I can to make Nottinghamshire an even safer place to live, work or visit.”
