After a snowy few days NHS England has issued a video say vulnerable people could be more isolated and neighbours should check on them regularly.

GP Saqid Anwar for NHS England said: “The elderly and those with disabilities are often the hardest hit by winter weather. They are particularly susceptible to illness and can become isolated when temperatures drop.”

He advises people to check on elderly neighbours and friends and ensure they have enough food, medication and are keeping warm.
