THE Dispatch’s celebrated chief reporter, Denis Robinson (pictured), is to bring the curtain down on a remarkable career in journalism.
For 73-year-old Denis is to retire next Friday (January 21) after more than 57 years with the paper.
He joined the Dispatch as a fresh-faced 16-year-old way back in 1953. He went on to become a popular, influential and highly-respected figure in the community, both in Hucknall and his home town of Bulwell.
Denis bows out as one of the longest-serving reporters in the entire country. His record was even recognised in the House Of Commons when the Dispatch celebrated its centenary in 2003.
DON’T MISS the January 21 edition of the Dispatch, which will be a souvenir issue to pay tribute to Denis’s career.
