THE SEARCH is on to find the cutest kids and the bounciest babies as the Dispatch launches its much-loved Child Of The Year 2012 competition.
The popular annual contest is sure to be flooded with dozens of hopefuls bidding to be crowned one of three champions.
Once again, we will be looking for entries in three age-categories — under 12 months, 13-24 months and 25-36 months.
If you think your youngster has what it takes, then take part in the free-to-enter competition by popping along to our open photo shoots run by Foto Imaging at the Tesco Extra store on Ashgate Road, Hucknall from Thursday June 14 to Saturday June 16 (10 am to 4 pm each day).
There will also be a chance to buy prints from Foto Imaging if the shots catch your eye.
Once all the snaps have been taken, a dazzling picture-parade of photographs will appear in a special supplement in the Dispatch in July.
It is then up to readers to pick up the phone, send a text or fill in a coupon to vote for their favourites.
There will be a winner in each category and they will each pick up a specialist canvas print.
But there can be no price placed on the prestige of being received into an exclusive group of youngsters crowned Dispatch Child Of The Year.
Last year’s winners were Stacy Nuttall (under 12 months category), Andrew-James Akers (13-to-24 months) and Lexie Grace Woodfield (25-to-36 months).
So, does your child have the winning smile to melt the hearts of our readers and toddle to victory?
If you think so, then don’t miss the Dispatch in the coming weeks for further details of the competition.
And make sure you put the dates of the photo-shoots in your diary.
