Hucknall Wine Circle
At our last meeting a commercial wine tasting was held accompanied with bread and cheese. All the members thought our own homemade wine compared favorably with the commercial wines.
Four of our members achieved outstanding results at the recent Wales & West and Bramcote festivals.
Wales & West held at Torquay taking 36 rosettes and four trophies.

Hucknall Wine Circle Entry - 6th Table white sweet
Hucknall won George Lashbrook trophy for Circle gaining most points in baking classes and Leytonian Cup for non-affiliated circle with most points in all open classes.

Alan Fisher, 1st Social white wine, 1st aperitif dry wine, Highly commended medium flower wine.
Jean Chilton 1st Social red wine, Highly commended dessert white wine, Highly commended Coconut and Cherry cake.
The next Circle meeting will be Monday 18th August at Hucknall National Academy for 7.15 pm when we shall be having a cheese and wine evening party.
