A STUNNING new Rolls-Royce Phantom, worth £250,000, was among the high-octane attractions at an annual classic-car show held in Hucknall.

The event at the Rolls-Royce Leisure complex off Watnall Road attracted up to 2,000 visitors.

Entry was free and the crowd got the chance to check out more than 200 cars, including many models from days gone by.

Among the attractions were classic Minis and MGs, taken along by car clubs.

Another exhibit was a Rolls-Royce Merlin aero engine, which was borrowed from the company’s heritage centre on the same site. To the delight of the crowd, it was fired up four times.

The show also featured fairground rides, games, refreshments and stalls as visitors took advantage of glorious sunshine.
