PHOTO ALBUM MEMORIES Bus guru on visit to Holy Cross School

editorial image

OUR latest PHOTO ALBUM MEMORIES picture shows Bernard Jefford, a former senior inspector with the Trent Bus Company, during a visit to Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, Hucknall.

Bernard (73) drove a bus and a ‘temporary’ stop to the Leen Mills Drive school as part of an initiative to encourage road safety by teaching pupils the Green Cross Code.

Now retired and a resident of Worthing on the south coast, Bernard will be visiting Hucknall Library on Friday October 19 to launch his autobiography, 'Once A Busman', which covers his career of 44 years with Trent and other bus companies.
