Pickpocket alert at Aldi carpark

Police are warning Hucknall shoppers to beware of pickpockets following a number of thefts over the past three weeks.

The latest incident happened at around 1.45pm on Thursday September 17 at the Aldi store car park, Ashgate Road.

A handbag was stolen from a car whilst a customer was loading shopping. The handbag is coloured black with gold handles.

Inspector Nick Butler warned: “For the third week running thieves have been active in Hucknall targeting shopper’s bags and shopping trolleys stealing purses, handbags and wallets particularly at the Aldi car park.

“Please take extra care and keep you purses and wallets out of sight and secure. Attaching a bell or a strap to the purse or wallet will warn you if an attempt is made to steal them.”
