RED poppies have much emotional significance at Remembrance Day every year.
But there are also eye-catching pink varieties of the flower, as this photo shows.
The picture has been submitted to us by 12-year-old Hucknall boy William Harris. He took it during a visit to his grandad, where the poppy was growing in the garden.
William clearly has a talent for photography and an eye for what makes a good snap. His other hobbies are riding his bike, computing, designing, gardening and ‘building stuff’.
Our thanks go to William. Now we would like more Dispatch readers to send us their pictures. They can be of absolutely anything. Just use your imagination.
n E-MAIL your images to firstname.lastname@example.org, with PICTURE OF THE WEEK in the subject field. Please remember to include background information to the photos, plus information about yourself, such as age, address, job, family, hobbies and interests.
