An idea on offer while stocks last.
I’ve just walked past the derelict pit yard at Clipstone and was aghast at the terrible condition of the site. It’s a disgrace, dominated by the rusting towering headstocks.
But I have an idea.
Why not turn it into an Adventure Playground for the young and the not-so-young?
Those massive towers could be linked together with high-wire and slack-line to give budding funambulists a chance to hone their skills.
With adequate safety nets of course.
We could also have Bungee Jumping, Abseiling, Climbing, Zip-Wires, indoor and outdoor chutes and even a Skateboard Park. I’m sure there are some that I’ve missed.
Lifts could be installed in each of the towers so that even Gran and Granddad could take advantage of some of the facilities and maybe an adequate First-Aid Centre could be provided.Just a thought.
