A FRESH appeal has been launched to trace a driver who may be a key witness to a crash in which a former Hucknall woman was killed.
Vicki Dorman (42) died after the blue Subaru Impreza car she was driving left the B6016 Langton Hollow road at Selston and hit a tree at 9 pm on Saturday September 24.
Ms Dorman, who latterly lived at Underwood, previously lived in Hucknall and still has family in the town.
A 35-year-old male passenger, who suffered serious head and arm injuries, has since been released from hospital. But police say he is unable to give them details about the crash because it is too traumatic.
Despite several appeals, the driver of a car thought to have been travelling in convoy with the Subaru before the crash has not come forward.
The second car is now known to be a small vehicle with slim tyres. Both vehicles were travelling from Selston towards Jacksdale
Said Det Sgt Ged Hazelwood, of Nottinghamshire police’s crash investigation unit: “It does not mean that the second car was committing any offence. There could be a reasonable explanation.”
Anyone with information about the accident should ring the police on 0300 300 9999 (extension 800 2227). Alternatively, call the free and confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555111.
