Plea to be on lookout for child neglect

THE NATIONAL Society for the Prevention of Cruelty To Children (NSPSS) is calling on residents of the Dispatch district to be alert to youngsters suffering neglect and abuse.

The number of calls to the NSPCC from Nottinghamshire is on the increase, with about ten per cent of reports needing involvement from the police.

Now the charity is calling on residents to call the helpline on 0808 8005000, text 88858 or e-mail help@nspcc.org.uk if they have concerns about a child.
