Nottinghamshire County Council is urging people to make the most of the region’s country parks this summer after a national study revealed 40 per cent of children spent under two days a year in the countryside.
The council is now promoting its four country parks in Rufford, Sherwood Forest, Cotgrave and Bestwood, and advertising its summer guide listing events on at the various parks.
You can pick up a copy at your local library, leisure centre or in school; browse the list online or download a copy of the guide from the council’s website.
