READER LETTER: Parking - New roads come at cost

As I read in the Dispatch about the opening of the new inner relief road I noticed nothing about the local residents parking issues! The whole area from Palmer to Thorsby Vale is now a permit parking only at a cost of £25 per household of one car, plus another £25 for a visitors permit.

With more houses than parking spaces especially Palmer,Connery, Albert,Tichfield – with very few drives – this means we are paying for something we may never use and if we don’t get a space where are we supposed to leave our vehicles?

The new roads look great and hopefully will be an asset for Hucknall, but, for many of the residents living close by, it has come with great cost.
