THE BRIGHT sparks at Tesco have come up with a way of raising money for cancer research UK — by recycling your unwanted electrical items.
Anything from MP3 players to digital cameras and event TVs can be handed in at Tesco stores, including the ones on Ashgate Road, Hucknall, and Jennison Street, Bulwell, as part of Recycle Week (Monday June 18 to Monday June 25).
Tesco’s ‘Electrical Trade-in’ turns old goods into hard cash, which will then be donated to Cancer Research UK — the supermarket giant’s charity of the year.
The money will go towards a target set by the partnership of £10 million, which will fund research into early detection of cancer. Visit www.tescoelectricaltradein.com to see how much your items might be worth.
