Rolls chief leaves club

WELL-known Hucknall man Brian Willows has officially left his job at the helm of Rolls-Royce Leisure Club.

Mr Willows (54) was mysteriously suspended last August as an internal investigation was launched at the club, off Watnall Road.

Believed to have been triggered by a licensing dispute, the inquiry has now been completed and Mr Willows’s 20-year-association with the club has ended.

Because of legal issues he cannot go into detail. But he says he wants to make it clear there was “no suggestion of dishonesty” on his part.

Mr Willows went on to thank his supporters, friends and family. He is now looking forward and pressing ahead with plans to open a new lounge bar, named H20, in the former premises of Martin’s newsagent’s on Hucknall High Street.

A spokesman for Rolls-Rocyce said: “There has been a thorough investigation into the running and governance of the Hucknall leisure club.

“As a result of that investigation, we will be appointing new management and we are providing support to the club’s committee at its request.”
