School fixes it for kids to meet Bob the Builder designer

BEST known as production designer of the children’s TV smash-hit, ‘Bob The Builder’, Curtis Jobling was a popular visitor to Bulwell St Mary’s Church of England Primary School this week.

Curtis is also an author and illustrator of children’s books, notably ‘Frankenstein’s Cat: A Muddled-Up Feline’.

During his visit, which was to celebrate the release of his latest book, ‘Shadow Of The Hawk’, Curtis talked about his love of films and books, animation, different mediums and his early work.

St Mary’s chldren were joined by pupils from the adjoining Bulwell Academy and Rufford, Crabtree, Snape Wood and Springfield Primary Schools for the special presentation in the school hall.

The youngsters were invited to create a character from their wildest imaginations and a book signing followed.
