SCHOOLWEAR supplier PRICE AND BUCKLAND, of Hucknall, has launched an Internet-based tool that allows shoppers to custom-design their own sports kits.
The long-running firm, of Benneworth Close, off Watnall Road, launched in 1959 and boasts more than 3,000 customers across the UK.
But at the School Sport Conference in Telford, Shropshire, it announced it was moving with the times and unveiled its PB Sport Kit Designer, which is in response to rising demand for electronic ordering and design services.
The tool allows schools to choose colours, add individual names and numbers to garments and instantly view designs online.
This not only allows pupils and teachers to become involved in the design process, it also cuts down on how long it takes to finalise kit selections.
Items that can be customised include polo shirts, rugby shirts, athletics vests, shorts, tracksuits and bags.
The website offers a simple layout and easy-to-use tools.
Anthony Buckland, joint managing director of Price And Buckland, said: “We’ve launched the designer to offer schools the chance to customise their sports kits through a quick-and-easy online tool. We understand that busy teachers want to be able to view specifications instantly and alter initial designs without delay.”
