SIGHTINGS have been made of a well-known pet raccoon who has been missing from her Hucknall home for more than two months.
Elmo escaped from her large outdoor enclosure at the house on Yorke Street in the early hours of Saturday June 4.
Since then, her owner, Joe Coupe, and friends have launched a search campaign to find the much-loved pet.
Posters have been placed in windows and on lamp-posts in the town in an appeal for information.
It has been revealed that Elmo has apparently been spotted on Derbyshire Lane in Hucknall in recent weeks — just yards from her home.
Joe, who also owns a skunk named Effy, pledged to continue the search and said: “We are still out most nights putting up flyers and posters.”
Anyone who spots Elmo is asked to call Joe on 07540 974699.
