A CHAIN of shoe shops with a base in Bulwell has kicked off a charity drive in aid of an organisation that offers care for those with terminal illnesses.

Shoe Zone, of Main Street, along with fellow branches nationwide, is aiming to raise a total of £40,000 for Help The Hospices in just two weeks.

The campaign will continue until Saturday December 10.

Each individual store will be running activities such as fancy dress parties.

Naomi Shefford, marketing and property director for Shoe Zone, said: “This is the first year we’ve supported Help for Hospices and we’re very excited about the two-week fundraising campaign.

“The charity does fantastic work ensuring those facing the end of life receive the best possible care.

“All staff are geared up for the event and we hope we raise as much money as possible.”
