THIRTY shoppers took time out from the aisles of a supermarket in Bulwell to get a free health-and-lifestyle check.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) staged a two-day roadshow at Morrisons, off Hucknall Lane.
The aim was to help local residents assess how they can lead healthier lifestyles. Advice on offer covered everything from healthy eating to weight loss.
A cardiac nurse and a dietician manned a special vehicle in the supermarket’s car park, and those who took part completed a touch-screen health-questionnaire before chatting about their results.
Each person was also encouraged to come up with three personal health goals.
As well as the 30 who had health checks, a further 47 shoppers spoke to experts and took away information leaflets.
Amanda Kenn, BHF Heart Health Roadshow project manager, said: “We are pleased with how the roadshow went in Bulwell. We interacted with a lot of people, who went away with good advice on how to keep their hearts healthy and how to improve their lifestyles.”
