A LOVE affair with the Tiny Tots Playgroup in Hucknall was sparked when TINA MARSHALL first took her daughter there.

Now, more than 25 years later, she is superviser of the organisation, which is based at the John Godber Centre on Ogle Street.

To mark her silver jubilee, staff, parents and children threw a special celebration and showered her with gifts.

Tina (46), of Addison Drive, said: “This means so much to me. The playgroup is like a family.

“It was pretty overwhelming to see so many faces, past and present, at the party. It was lovely, and I received so many gifts.

“There were flowers, chocolates and bottles of wine. My house looked like a florist’s shop!

“One of the little girls even made an angel out of a bar of soap.”

Tina first took her daughter, Zoe, to Tiny Tots when she was just three. Zoe is now 28 and has two children of her own — Devon (seven) and Libby (two).

Tina also has two other children — Luke (23) and Connor (ten).

Tiny Tots, which has been running for approximately 30 years, was previously known as Ogle Street Under-Fives.

It now caters for youngsters aged from two-and-a-half to five and has 18 children on the books.
