A Sutton man has told a court he sent money to Syria to help war victims, the BBC has reported.

Ulhaq told the jury he sent £200 to Syria for amunition to defend women against Government atrocities.

He denies helping a cardiff teenager to get to Syria and join up with Islamic State militants.
