AS is well-known, retail giant TESCO takes the view that every little helps.
And the company has been keen to make sure that its Extra superstore off Hucknall’s Ashgate Road keeps looking as presentable as possible.
To this end, a mini-makeover has taken place at the premises and a ceremony was held this week to mark completion of the work.
The president of Hucknall Rotary Club, Richard White, did the honours by cutting a tape.
A Tesco spokeswoman said a series of improvements, carried out over a three-week period, has included the provision of new fish, meat and dairy counters, a new bakery, a pop-up phone shop, an upgrade of the cafe and a revamp of the fruit and vegetable department.
The first-floor layout has undergone a big change, a new trolley base has been installed and improvements have taken place to the car park and petrol station.
The spokesman said: “The effect of the refurbishment can be seen right across the store and feedback from our customers has been very positive. Many have told us they like what they have seen.”
