Police have warned that burglars have been targeting Annesley Woodhouse garages in the week leading up to June 4th.
Inspector Nick Butler, of Hucknall police, said: “Garages are being targeted in the villages and rural areas, with tools and cycles being the most sought after items.
“Please ensure your garages are securely locked and if you keep your cycle in there please use a heavy duty security chain to add a second layer of defence.
“If possible extend your house alarm system to cover the garage or alternately fit a standalone alarm. Motor cycles are also being targeted, in some cases just for parts.”
Attempts were made to raid four garages in Annesley Woodhouse in the space of a week.
