A BUSINESS-savvy mum from Hucknall is calling for Dispatch readers to vote for her innovative children’s gifts and toys company in a national competition.

The KNOT JUST JIGS wooden toys firm, which was created by mum-of-four Toniann Harwood (44) in 2006, is run from her home on Badger Close.

The business is mainly online but is also a regular at major craft and toy events, including one at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire and the Lincoln Christmas Market.

Now the company is one of the finalists in the sixth annual junior awards run by the website, What’s On For Little Ones.

But it needs your votes if it is to win one of the prestigious prizes.

The initiative recognises companies, organisations and individuals that provide the best activities and products for kids.

Knot Just Jigs is one of 13 in the running in the ‘Best Children’s Party Supplier’ category.

Toniann’s business offers a range of eco-friendly party-bags and unusual, high-quality items as party presents.

It also sells traditional wooden toys, rag dolls and pocket-money toys, which are sourced from all over the world, plus personalised, hand-made bunting, cushions and other items crafted by Toniann herself.

To give Knot Just Jigs your support, log on at www.whatson4littleones.co.uk/awards-voting-2012.asp, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the relevant category. Voting closes on a week on Sunday (May 6).
